Support & Funders

For people living with chronic health conditions, hidden disabilities, sickle cell, and chronic pain, our workshops are completely free. That takes more than a grant. Here's what makes it possible, and how you can help us go further.
Proudly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund
Their investment is funding 40+ free creative wellness workshops and events across London, running through to early 2027, all free for the communities we serve. Every session is designed for people living with chronic health conditions, hidden disabilities, sickle cell, and chronic pain, and the carers who show up for them every day.
But the National Lottery Community Fund grant is only part of the story. Akanji Studio Wellness C.I.C and our delivery partners pour personal time, energy, and our own funds into this programme because we believe in it, and because the people we serve deserve nothing less. This work is a labour of love, and we want to be honest about that.
We want to be open with you. Being funded doesn't mean we have a large budget to work with. Our grant stretches carefully across facilitators, materials, and programme delivery, and the gaps are filled by the personal investment of the people behind this work. Rizzy and our delivery partners regularly contribute our own time and resources to make sure nothing falls short of what this community deserves.
This funding is what makes it possible to open the door. Your support is what keeps it open.

Access to free or affordable community spaces in London remains one of our greatest ongoing needs. So does building a network of skilled facilitators, practitioners, and specialists who want to bring their gifts to a community that deserves them.
There are three ways to support this work
Offer a space Do you run or have access to a community venue, studio, or hall in London? We're looking for free or low-cost spaces where we can deliver workshops in a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment. If your space shares our values, we'd love to talk. email us: team@akanji.studio
Are you a facilitator, practitioner, artist, or specialist with something to offer? Whether your practice sits in breathwork, movement, creative arts, sound, therapeutic support, or lived and professional experience of sickle cell, hidden disabilities, or chronic pain — we want to hear from you. email us: team@akanji.studio
We are building a community of people who believe that wellness should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it.
Make a donation
Every contribution, however small, goes directly towards making our workshops possible. Your donation helps cover materials, travel, accessibility support, and the small costs that keep a community programme running with dignity and care.
