Where Art Meets Urgency

This winter, Akanji Studio moved through unexpected spaces
from creative labs to corporate lobbies.
Not just to display art,
but to start conversations that matter.

In partnership with NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT),
we used our platform to advocate for blood donation,
especially in Black communities where demand is high and trust is low.

No guilt. No fear.
We came with stories. With visuals. With lived experience.
We made the invisible visible.

And we didn’t stop there.

We brought our work into corporate spaces like:
Linkedin, Live Nation, ITV, Boldforce, and WPP
using art as a bridge between personal truth and collective responsibility.

We made space for conversations on identity, pain, resilience, and recovery.
And we reminded every room:
healing belongs here, too.

This work is more than creative.
It’s cultural. It’s systemic.
It’s a circulation of truth, legacy, and life.

And we’re only just getting started.
